1)      When does my license expire?
 Answer:   Check your license for an effective expiration date.
Certificates are no longer printed and mailed to applicants. Certificates may be obtained and you may review the status of approved certificates/licensure at

 2)      I have a Bachelor's Degree but have 18 graduate hours. Why am I not being paid for the additional hours?
 Answer:  You have to apply for additional hours from WVDE - certification office, i.e., BA+15, MA, MA+15, MA+30, and MA+45. Download a form 12 from the WVDE website and bring the completed form to Denise Fletcher.  You must also order an official transcript and have it sent directly to the county office Attn: Denise Fletcher. 
   
3)      How do I get an additional endorsement?
Answer:   Complete an electronic Form 8 application on the WVDE website. You must also order an official transcript and have it sent directly to the county office Attn: Denise Fletcher. NOTE: If you are adding an endorsement by passing a praxis only, please complete an electronic Form 8C and attach your praxis scores.

Reminder: Many forms are now electronic applications on the WVDE Website. 

Electronic Application Instructions: If the application is available electronically, access the online certification portal at WVEIS k12/. You will be asked to register with the certification portal website. As part of the registration process, you will be prompted to either use an existing webtop account if you have been employed in the West Virginia school system or register to create a webtop login. Once you have completed the registration process and obtained a webtop account, you may submit an electronic application. When the application is ready for payment, you will receive an e-mail notification with instructions for online payment. Applications will not be processed by the Office of Certification, Licensure and Professional Preparation until the online payment has been processed. Applicants may follow and review the status of their application via the certification portal.

Paper Application Instructions (only for those not available electronically): Print the paper application, complete all information fields and bring the completed paperwork and supportive documentation to Denise Fletcher in the personnel office.
Payment for paper applications must be completed online at 
WVEIS k12 using a VISA, Master Card, Discover or American Express. Checks and cash are not accepted.
